Due to updated requirements from the FAA, the Remote ID UAS ID must now be permanently set on the drone. To accommodate this change, WISPR has changed the way the UAS ID is set. Please set the UAS ID following the instructions found HERE.
WISPR Ground Control v1.8.0
New Features:
- A heading setting has been added to single waypoint mission items. When enabled, the drone will rotate to the specified heading upon reaching the waypoint and will maintain that heading until it reaches the next mission item.
- Also added are "Geotagging settings" in the Settings > GNSS settings page, allowing selection of geotagging formats including "Pix4D Mapper," "Pix4D Matic," and "Propeller."
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where estimated mission time was not accurately calculated during mission planning. The estimated time is now much closer to the actual mission duration, though it remains an estimate due to variations in flight characteristics.
- Corrected a bug where mission settings were not properly retained when "Maintain data from previous mission when planning new mission" was toggled on or off.
- Fixed an issue where ILX and 24MP camera setting controls stayed visible after changing the payload type.
- Addressed a bug that prevented the “RemoteID: Waiting on Initialization” pre-arm error from clearing correctly.
- Disabled Structure Scan mission planning when GeoCue LiDAR is selected.

- Enhanced flight logs with additional information to support more detailed post-flight review and analysis.
