In compliance with updated FAA regulations, the Remote ID UAS ID must now be permanently assigned to your drone. To meet this requirement, WISPR has updated the process for setting the UAS ID. Please follow the instructions provided HERE to set your UAS ID.
WISPR Ground Control v1.7.1
New Features
- Introduced more gimbal and camera options for waypoint mission planning, allowing you to set gimbal angles, trigger photos, and start/stop videos at specific waypoints.
- Added a new option in Settings > Payload to display the automated panoramic image capture button (disabled by default).
- Added an "Enable PPK" option to activate PPK logging for the payload, which will be locked behind a license in future updates.
- Readded the loop turnaround feature in Corridor Scan mission planning.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved an issue where the Gremsy Vio payload would lock at the wrong angle when starting a mission. This fix requires updating the Gremsy Vio to version 7.8.3.
- Fixed a bug where prearm errors remained on-screen after being cleared.
- Addressed an issue causing the Gremsy Vio to lose settings files after an update.
- Fixed an app crash that occurred when selecting Structure Scan with certain payloads.

- Added the capability to capture photos and start/stop videos during missions.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved issue causing a single motor failure during arming.
- Updated collision avoidance to prevent the drone from moving closer to obstacles rather than backing away, improving safety and reliability.
- Fixed issue where manual gimbal control became unresponsive after completing a mission or using the center gimbal button.
- Corrected bug that triggered "Lost controller location" alerts in every lifecycle.
